How to automatically launch an app when Android TV starts or boots
How to auto start an app on android TV, Auto start no root required for android TV.
If you're an Android TV user, you have to ask yourself one question: How much time do you really spend on your home screen ? You could launch the same app every time to turn it on, and now you have a new app that can do it automatically.
For simplicity, let's say you just watch Netflix on your Android TV. The last thing you want is a step between Orange binge sessions is the New Black, so there's really no good reason to go to the home screen. Instead, launch Netflix as soon as you turn on your Android TV. ?
To
do this, we use an app called Launch on Boot. Essentially, this tells
Android TV{Box} to launch a specific app on both startup and boot (it can
only do one or the other if you choose). It's so simple, so intuitive,
and it just works.
So
if you don't already have it, go ahead and download it on your Android
TV. A short tutorial will appear as soon as you launch the app. Read on
or press the back button on your remote to skip. your phone.
On the main launch screen at boot, go ahead and slide the first toggle button to enable the app.
From there, you can choose to launch Live TV on boot with the following toggle: This will automatically launch the Live Channels app. Skip this switch if you want to launch another app.
However, we recommend that you checkmark the following applications: So your favorite apps will launch not only when the device wakes up, but also when it wakes up from sleep.
Go ahead and click on the “Select apps” box to select your preferred apps. Again, we will be using Netflix for this tutorial. Choose what you like.
Finally, click the "Test" button to make sure everything is working properly. The system will sleep for a short time and the app will wake up. And of course, if you want to reach the home screen, simply tap the home button on the remote.
In my tests, the selected app was launched on boot every time, but failed to launch on boot and sometimes failed. Only thing to keep in mind, as always, your mileage may vary.
Either way, grab your popcorn and hit that remote. Your Netflix binge begins now.
